I'm such an awful person. Hikaru No Go has been licensed, and I don't want it to be. I really, really don't. I wanted that manga to stay in it's nice obscure little shell and never have to worry about bad translating or dubbing. I wanted to be able to talk about it and have no one else but my close friends understand. I guess I have to let it go though. Spread Akira love or something like that...*sigh*

I went to Payito's house last night and we sat around watching Card Captor Sakura and making jokes about Dr. Nii. Lauren hates Dr. Nii jokes. It's fun to make her squirm.

I read the first volume of Man of Many Faces- that's a cute one. I loved Akira's mothers, but the teacher looks just like Sei-chan! I keep expecting him to turn around and warp into an evil child molester. *laughs* Is it just me, or does CLAMP recycle character designs?

The Wild Adaptor music video at the end of the EC OVA is...cool. The world needs more Kubota/Tokitoh related blood licking. And flying money. Of course, you get a good dose of that in Stigma, but you can never have enough of those gracefully falling dollar bills, can you?

Do It Again

Alright, I got here two days ago. On Saturday, mom took my brothers and me to the City Wide Garage Sale, and I bought a big stack of X-men comics for 5 dollars. Wonderful find, that. Got a four issue Nightcrawler series, and a twelve issue Vision and the Scarlet Witch series. Morty's in one of them, so I'm happy. Mom left me with my grandparents after that, and we went...camping... My legs are covered in bug bites now.

I just got back from the library, and it's really changed since I moved. It kind of scared me- the way they rearranged everything and all. They still have that picture of Mrs. Gray and me on the wall over the door. I was about seven in that picture, and I don't even remember them taking it. The card catalog is gone and has been replaced by a charmless computer. The book shelves have been moved in such a way that I don't know where everything is now. The only thing that was left the same is the toilet (it's one of those really old ones, where you have to pull the long chain to make it flush). When I saw it, I said 'cool!' really loud, and this kid outside looked at me like I was crazy.

I wonder if my Executive Committee has arrived in the mail yet. I'll have to ask mom when she calls.

Interesting Discovery

Look what I found. They have Prince of Tennis scanalations too, among other things. I'd feel guilty if I didn't know that I'm going to buy Saiyuki anyway soon. Don't want to deprive Kazuya-sama of any cash. :P

I'm going to babysit tonight, and then I'm leaving to visit my grandma in the thrilling town of Weimar. Zounds, I hate that place. It makes me sick that I wasted seven years of my life there. It'll be nice to see grandma though, since she lives six hours away, and I never get to talk to her.

New York, New York

I just got back, and I am tired! I'll give you a quick review of the shows I saw:

Thoroughly Modern Millie: Cute, fun. The sets were purty, and it made me laugh. The Chinese version of 'Mammy' was what really made the show though. I give it extra points for the semi-slashy ending.

The Phantom of the Opera: Beautiful special effects, gorgeous voices, and an extra big hand to the guy who played Erik- man, did he make that poor boy weepy. Everyone must go see it now, so that the Phantom fans can band together and force Andrew to write a new, happy ending.

Movin' Out: Billy Joel music and the best dancing I think I've ever seen. It was also the only show without any real dialogue, which was kinda weird...Thumbs up, or whatever.

Gypsy: BERNADETTE PETERS!!! That woman is sexy and I love her (I waited outside and got her autograph and a picture. Happy I am ^.^). The story itself was good, but a tad scary. o.O I can't imagine ever turning my daughter into a stripper, no matter how hell bent I was at making her famous. I liked it though.

Celes finally updated. Read her Hikago comic- it's a riot.

If anyone cares, I also turned 16 on Monday. It feels a lot like 15...

The Eel and the Hedgehog

New layout! I actually made this one, because I couldn't find any pre-made layouts with Tokitoh and Kubo-chan. I stole the picture from here, because I worship the ground Kazuya-sama walks on. *showers Minekura with rose pedals before going back to her Saiyuki shrine to worship some more*

I ate sushi yesterday, and it was muy bueno. The eel was the best. I also bought this little pink mini-skirt to wear in New York. I don't know why though...

Sitting alone all day is no fun. I want to roleplay with Jessica- our game was getting so good. Almost makes me wish I was back in school. Almost.
I drew an X/1999 fanart for her today. Fuuma licking Kamui. She requested it specifically in payment for the nifty fanfic she wrote for me. I got embarrassed while drawing it. I felt like a hentai just watching that episode, and now I'm drawing pictures? >.< Aw, well; It was cute anyway, in a sick, demented way...

I can't figure out how to hook up my Sega Genesis. I haven't played it in, like, half a year. I miss Sonic. He was hot. :P Speaking of Sega, check this fic out.

All Alone

I made a Todd dress-up doll for my Toad Shrine, and it blinks! It took about four hours to make, but I think it was worth it. I haven't yet made any clothes for it. I'll start on some tomorrow, I suppose...
That's the weird thing about summer, you know? Actually having four hours to make an animated dress-up doll for a website. Neh.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that I don't actually hate Raoul from The Phantom of the Opera- I hate Christine. Yeah, that's right. Can't blame a guy for falling for a pretty girl. You *can* blame a girl for leading a poor deformed (and amazingly talented and charming) man on, then cheating on him. Witch. :P

I hope I have a job this week so I can buy Executive Committee. I want my Kubota and Tokitoh...

I went to go see Journey in concert last night with my friend Karen, and we had a total blast. We danced a lot though, so I'm sleepy.

Payito's birthday was Saturday night and we watched Ah! My Goddess!: The Movie. Russell was there, but he spent the whole night talking about James. He likes James...a little *too* much. :P

I'm gonna be home alone all week, so there will be much time to blog.

I was surfing around and I found this and I *must* have it! I MUST! I'm going to babysit this week so I can get it. Minekura Kazuya is just...*nyaaaah*... I'm going to Japan so I can ask her to marry me. She will be mine. Oh, yes- she will be mine.

Nostalgia

Well, today was my last day as a freshman, and it was also my last day to be with Mirianne. She's moving to Florida, and I won't be seeing her for a long, long time. I will miss her greatly- she was a wonderful friend. It just won't be the same without her. *sigh*
